Through business development and service delivery this company will continue to be a leader in the provision of quality Community Housing solutions in Queensland. A Strong and Growing Housing Provider
4walls is governed by a Board of skilled and experienced Directors from both originating entities, drawn from the business and Community Sector. The Board holds responsibility for the strategic direction and oversight of the company. The Chief Executive Officer works closely with the Board of Directors to keep the company apprised of the changing external environment and is responsible for the company achieving desired outcomes. Business development plans under 4walls include further expansion of the community managed studio units program, geographical expansion of the all forms of social housing state wide expansion of the resettlement program, joint venture partnerships on affordable housing developments and further expansion of the affordable housing program within and external to the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS). 4walls is the coming together of two large not-for-profit entities with a combined 30 years experience in the delivery of Community Housing in Queensland. The combined business of these two organisations has created a portfolio of approximately 740 tenancies and a skilled and experienced team of staff to undertake this work. The combined strength and expertise in the delivery of this business will create a company that is robust and viable with strong growth in the delivery of additional social housing and affordable housing contracts in 2009-2012 and beyond.
4walls manages approximately 740 tenancies and provides a wide range of housing options, including transitional housing, long term housing, community managed studio units, traditional boarding house accommodation, youth specific housing, affordable housing and resettlement housing. In addition 4walls delivers community education and advocacy for eligible clients under the Department of Immigration and Citizenship Settlement Grants Program.
